This album consists of excerpts from the cassette-installation-artwork Steps to Solace, previously on display in the Low Data show @ Modified Arts Gallery in Phoenix, AZ. Steps to Solace was made of 7 cassette players, hung on the wall like art objects, with 7 loop cassettes playing continually in the players. 6 different artists contributed individual recordings of their own inspiration, with the combined cassette players engaging in a mysterious conversation with each other and the spectator.
Brandon Meged and John McVay also performed an experimental noise set at the opening reception of Low Data, and a live sound recording is also included.
